Gentle pull.
Deep calm.Sports massage.
Cupping uses gentle suction to lift the skin and the tissue just beneath it, for a slow hour that feels like an upside-down massage. You set the strength, and we explain every step, marks included.

Gentle suction. You are always in charge.
Massage that
lifts instead of presses.
Cupping is an old technique with a simple idea: suction draws the skin and soft tissue gently upward. We offer it as a calm, clearly explained wellness session.
Suction, not pressure
Cups create gentle suction that lifts the skin and the tissue just beneath it, the opposite of the pressing used in most massage.
You set the strength
We start light and build only as far as feels comfortable. You can ask us to ease off or lift a cup at any moment.
Marks are expected
Round marks are a normal effect of suction and not a sign that anything went wrong. They fade by themselves, and you can see how below.
What it is
- Suction cups placed on the skin, usually the back
- Cups that stay in place or glide over oiled skin
- Strength set by you, and changed any time
- Offered as a wellness service, often with massage
What it is not
- A medical treatment for any condition
- Painful, when done right
- Marks-free in every case
- A replacement for medical care
No surprises.
Ten days of marks.
Round marks are common after cupping, so here is what they usually do. Slide through the days and try the three suction levels. It is a simplified illustration, and every body is different.
Right after
Round marks can look anywhere from a light pink blush to deep red. How strong they look depends on the suction, your skin and your body.
The next morning
Marks often look their most vivid around now. They are usually painless, and may feel a little warm or tender when pressed.
A few days in
Colours often start to shift from red toward purple or blue, just as with any bruise.
Fading
Marks are usually lighter by now and may look green or yellow around the edges as they fade.
Mostly faint
Many marks are faint by the end of the first week.
Almost gone
Most marks have faded by now, although some can take a little longer. It varies from person to person.
Marks are not a score. Darker marks do not mean a better session. Lighter suction usually means lighter marks, and you can ask us to start gently.
Book a cupping sessionTalk. Prepare.
Cup. Release.
Slow, clear and always at your pace. Here is how your hour unfolds.
Talk and check
A short chat about how you feel, your health and any skin concerns. We look at the skin where the cups will go, and ask about events where marks would bother you.
Prepare
The area is warmed and oiled if we are gliding the cups. We agree where they will go, usually the back, shoulders or legs.
Cup
Cups are placed and suction is built slowly, so you can tell us how it feels. They stay in place or glide, depending on your session, and we check in often.
Release
We lift the cups gently, wipe the area and let you rest, then go through simple after-care, including what the marks may do.
Still. Gliding.
Or extra light.
Stationary cups
Cups rest on one spot for a few minutes while you breathe and settle. The most traditional approach.
Gliding cups
With oil on the skin, a cup glides along the back or legs in slow lines. It often feels like an upside-down massage.
Light suction
A gentler version with lower suction, which tends to leave lighter marks or none. Ask for it if you are marks-averse.
Warm, lifted
and unhurried.
People describe cupping in many ways. Here are some of the most common.
A gentle pulling feeling
Many people feel a firm but comfortable lift as the suction builds.
Warmth in the area
The skin under a cup often feels warm, and a little pink when the cup comes off.
Round marks
Circular marks are a normal effect of suction. They can be light or dark and fade on their own.
Mild tenderness
The area may feel a little tender to press for a day or two, like after light exercise.
A relaxed feeling
Many people feel calm and a bit sleepy after a session.
Not much at all
Some people notice very little during or after. That is okay too.
Experiences vary from person to person and from session to session, and none of them are guaranteed.
For anyone who likes
a different kind of calm.
Long desk days
You sit a lot and your upper back and shoulders feel tight by evening.
Active bodies
You train or play sport and are curious about a different kind of bodywork.
Massage regulars
You like massage and want to try something that lifts rather than presses.
Press-averse
You tense up when someone presses hard and prefer a pulling feeling.
Curious about cupping
You have seen it and want to try it with someone who explains everything.
A slow hour
You want a calm hour on the table and do not mind marks for a few days.
Know the difference.

BEMER PEMF

Bio-Meridian Activation
FOHOW meridian-based activation to support balance.
After your session.
A few simple habits help you look after the skin and settle into your evening.
Keep the area warm
Keep the cupped area covered and warm for the rest of the day, and avoid cold wind and air conditioning on it.
Drink water
Drink water as usual through the rest of the day.
Skip heat and sun for the day
Skip hot tubs, saunas, very hot baths and strong sun on the area for the rest of the day. The skin has had plenty of attention.
Be gentle with the skin
Do not scrub or pick at the marks. A light, unscented moisturiser is fine if the skin feels dry.
Tell us if something feels off
If you see blistering, broken skin, or marks that are very sore or not fading, get in touch with us or your doctor.
Good to tell us
before you book.
Please tell us if you have:
We may adapt the session, or ask for your doctor to approve it first.
- Blood thinners, or a bleeding or clotting condition
- Skin that bruises very easily
- A skin condition, such as eczema, psoriasis or sensitive skin
- Diabetes, or any condition that slows healing
- Pregnancy, so we can choose where cups can go
- Recent surgery or a healing scar in the area
- Sunburn, or recent waxing or shaving irritation
- An event soon where marks would bother you
See a doctor first if you have:
These can need medical attention before, or instead of, a cupping session.
- Broken, infected or inflamed skin where the cups would go
- A fresh burn or sunburn in the area
- A fever, or you feel unwell
- A swollen, painful, warm or red calf or leg
- Bruising or bleeding that you cannot explain
General information, not medical advice. Cupping is a relaxation service, and we do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Meridian-based activation draws on traditional concepts. Our services are not a substitute for medical care.
Good to know.
What is cupping therapy?
A traditional technique in which suction cups are placed on the skin. The suction lifts the skin and the tissue beneath it, and the cups either stay in place or glide over oiled skin. We offer it as a wellness service.
Will it leave marks?
Often, yes. Round marks are a normal effect of suction and range from a light blush to dark red or purple. Lighter suction usually means lighter marks, and you can ask us to start gently. The timeline above shows how they usually fade.
Does it hurt?
It should not. Most people feel a firm, comfortable pulling. Tell us right away if it is too much and we will ease the suction or lift the cup.
How long do the marks last?
Most fade within about a week or two, though it varies. They are usually painless and often change colour as they fade, just like a bruise.
Is there scientific evidence for it?
Cupping has a long history in many traditions, and many people enjoy it. Research is limited and the studies are often small or of low quality, so we do not claim it treats any condition. We offer it as a relaxing wellness session.
Do you use fire?
We use suction cups and no open flame.
Who should check with a doctor first?
If you take blood thinners, have a bleeding or clotting condition, diabetes, a skin condition, are pregnant, or have broken or inflamed skin, please talk to your doctor and tell us before booking. We may adapt the session or suggest something else.
Is this medical treatment?
No. Our services are wellness services and are not a substitute for medical care. If you have an injury or a medical condition, please consult your doctor first.
Ready to
let go?
