Who it is for

When relaxing is not
what you need.

People come to us with something specific that keeps coming back. Here are the most common reasons.

Persistent neck & shoulder tension

Tightness that returns after a day or two, often tied to posture, work setup or stress.

Lower back and hip tightness

Stiffness that limits how you sit, bend or walk, and keeps coming back.

Overuse and repetitive strain

Forearms, shoulders or hips that are overloaded by the same movement day after day.

Stiffness after training or activity

Areas that never quite recover, or that feel restricted when you move.

Postural strain

Muscle tension that follows how you stand, sit and carry yourself.

Tension around the neck and jaw

Tight areas that tend to build up around the neck, jaw and head.

How it works

Four steps.
One clear plan.

Healing starts by identifying the true source, not just treating symptoms. Pick a step to see what happens.

We listen first

We go through your history, goals, what makes it better or worse, what you have already tried, and any medical considerations we need to know about.

Straight talk

What this is,
and is not.

What it is

  • Assessment-led, goal-focused hands-on treatment
  • Tailored to your complaint and how you move
  • Delivered alongside your doctor or other providers, never instead of them
  • Re-checked as we go, so we can see what is working

What it is not

  • A medical diagnosis
  • A replacement for medical care
  • A one-size-fits-all routine
  • A promise of a specific result

The toolbox

The right tool
for what we find.

We do not apply one routine to everyone. We choose techniques based on your assessment.

Soft-tissue therapy

Focused work on muscle and connective tissue where the assessment shows restriction.

Neuromuscular techniques

Work aimed at how your muscles switch on and off, not only how tight they feel.

Myofascial release

Slow, sustained work on fascia that feels restricted or stuck.

Trigger-point work

Precise pressure on stubborn points that refer tension elsewhere.

Functional corrections

Simple strategies that help the body keep the change and move better.

Home guidance

Practical movement and habit tips so the work continues between visits.

What a plan can look like

From first visit
to maintenance.

An illustration only. Your plan depends on your goals, your history and how your body responds.

Visit one

Evaluation and first treatment

Intake, assessment and a first treatment aimed at the main finding.

The next few visits

Treat, reassess, adjust

We treat, re-check what changed and adapt the approach as your body responds.

As things settle

Space the visits out

Gaps between sessions grow while home guidance carries more of the load.

Maintenance

Keep what you have gained

Periodic sessions if you want to keep tension from building back up.

Questions

Good to know.

What is medical massage?

It is treatment-focused massage aimed at a specific complaint rather than general relaxation. At Kinezio it starts with a movement assessment so the treatment goes where the findings point. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace medical care.

How is it different from deep tissue?

Deep tissue is defined by pressure. Medical massage is defined by purpose: an assessment, a goal, a targeted plan and re-checks along the way. Pressure is simply a tool we use when it helps.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to book. If your doctor or another provider has recommended massage or made notes about your condition, please tell us and share them so we can work alongside your care.

Is it covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by plan and provider. Contact us before you book and we will tell you what we can provide, such as an itemised invoice, so you can check with your insurer.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals, history and how your body responds. After your evaluation we will suggest a plan and adjust it as we re-check your progress.

Will it hurt?

Treatment can feel intense on tender or tight areas, but it should never be sharp or unbearable. We work within your comfort and you can ask us to ease off at any time.

Who should not have this treatment?

Some conditions, such as blood clots, blood thinners, recent surgery or acute injury, mean treatment may need adapting or your doctor may need to approve it first. We review your health history before every first treatment.

Is this medical care?

No. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and our services do not replace care from your doctor. If you have an injury or a medical condition, please consult your doctor first.
